Leeds is such a brilliant city for a wedding. It is bursting with culture and history as well as being a vibrant and modern city. I LOVE photographing weddings in Leeds. There are so many wedding venues both in the city centre and within a short drive that you really are spoilt for choice. Here I’ve done some of the leg work for you and put all my favourite venues in one place.
Whether you’re looking for an urban or rural location, there are plenty of options listed here. Leeds city centre has brilliant transport links and is easy to get around on foot. It is a vibrant and fun place for your wedding and the Civic Hall is a gorgeous place for the actual ceremony. Lineham Farm
Possibly my favourite venue because it is such a little gem of a place. During the week it is used for hosting school residentials. If you choose to have your wedding here you are supporting their brilliant charity. The venue itself offers a large barn, lots of accommodation, a brilliant courtyard, woodland and gorgeous views.

Oakwell Hall Barn
Oakwell Hall is an Elizabethan manor house in Birstall. It is set in a beautiful country park and has a barn used for weddings and wedding receptions. There is a large field in front of this and a courtyard behind, making it a beautiful setting for a wedding. You can get married in the house or the barn but I think outdoor weddings in the walled garden here are lovely.

Coddy's Farm
A gorgeous little family-run venue with on-site accommodation and stunning views across the Holme Valley. This is a real blank canvas of a venue which is perfect if you are looking for somewhere you can make your own. The accommodation onsite is beautiful too.

Northorpe Barn
This is another venue that is also a charity. The Northorpe Hall Child and Family Trust supports children and young people in West Yorkshire. The venue is brilliant – a big barn with a lovely outside space behind. There are pretty gardens too and a place to get ready if you need.

Fields, Woodland & Marquees
The Woodman Inn
I’m lucky enough to shoot at The Woodman Inn a lot, and it is one of my favourites. They have a large marquee-type space called The Garden Room which is perfect for a country wedding. You can get married outside, in the marquee or in The Country Room which is located in the Inn itself. The outside space here is perfect for a summer day.

This place is another world – you can’t get much more rural. It is in the most stunning spot. It is a DIY venue so you would need to hire a marquee or tipi but it is worth the extra work.

Set next to Lund Tower in Skipton, this beautiful field is such a gorgeous location. They can also provide a marquee and toilets so you don;t have to do all of the DIY work yourself.

Hazlewood Castle
Hazlewood Castle is three venues in one – you can choose the castle, the marquee or the woodland tipis. I think the tipis make the perfect outdoor venue. There is a beautiful spot to get married under the trees and then plenty of tipi space for your guests to enjoy.

Holme Valley Marquees
A family run wedding business in the heart of the Holme Valley. This is a gem of a wedding venue and one that I really love. The family own the farm here and use the field to put their marquee in. It’s very much a blank space inside and there is space to camp outside.

This is a really special venue. They only take on limited weddings a year as it is still a monastery. The outside space here is breathtaking – the most beautiful gardens I think I have ever had at a wedding.

Wood Hall Hotel and Spa has perhaps the longest driveway ever to reach it – but it is absolutely worth it. This tranquil hotel is surrounded by countryside. You can get married outside on the terrace too.
