If you’re planning a White Hart Derbyshire wedding, you’ll love this for inspiration!
I had the pleasure of being Dave and Isobel’s wedding photographer. They originally planned their wedding for July 2020 but sadly Covid meant two postponements and they finally had their day in July 2022. Dave and Isobel planned a chilled-out day in the countryside and The White Hart in Alfreton, Derbyshire was the perfect venue.
Getting Ready at The White Hart Derbyshire
Dave and Isobel both got ready at the venue, making it super easy to capture some images of them both. Dave was there early to set up all the garden games whilst Isobel enjoyed the morning with her sisters. The venue had plenty of space and several of their guests stayed the night before too.
The Ceremony
The ceremony was in the Orangery and the couple opted to keep it short and sweet so they could enjoy as much time as possible with their guests. We headed straight outside after and I loved photographing a confetti tunnel for them.
The Reception
It is safe to say that the garden games were a big hit. If you’re considering having garden games at your wedding, check out my blog post for ideas. Limbo was by far the most popular game at Dave and Isobel’s wedding and I enjoyed photographing all the attempts to find the winning limbo champion.
They then had pizza and ice cream for their meal, followed by speeches (the best man’s was hilarious!) and a pub quiz. The last round of the quiz was a scavenger hunt which got very competitive!
The Evening
The guests continued to enjoy the garden games, though due to the weather they were brought under cover. There was more food and some dancing. The whole day had a really chilled-out vibe which continued into the evening.
