I absolutely loved my first time photographing a wedding at East Keswick Village Hall in Leeds. This venue is absolutely perfect for a chilled out wedding reception. It has all the amenities you need plus the bonus of a stunning view across the valley.
Tess and Joe first got in touch with me last summer and their wedding sounded absolutely perfect. A nice relaxed village hall wedding in Leeds. They didn’t actually book in until January and as Tess explained in the speeches, they had somewhat of a laid back approach to wedding planning. The florist was only actually booked around a month before. This just shows what an amazing day you can have even with just a few months of planning.
Tess and Joe have been together since they were teenagers. They literally laughed their way through their wedding day, which was just a joy to photograph. Tess got ready at her mum’s house and then we headed to the Civic Hall for a lovely ceremony. It was then less than half an hour’s drive to East Keswick Village Hall. Everyone relaxed in the garden and played games. We had a confetti photo and I don’t think any couple have ever fulfilled the brief of ‘you can never have too much confetti’ more than these two. There was a banquet of curry, some hilarious speeches and then Tess, Joe and I hopped in my car to a field I’d found for a little break and some portraits. The evening ended with pizza and live music. It was such a fab day! Thanks so much for having me along Tess and Joe.
