The Faversham Leeds Wedding

Apr 25, 2022

If you’re planning a wedding at The Faversham in Leeds, you’ll love this wedding for inspiration!

Fran and Dave got married at The Faversham, which is a venue in Leeds with a city center location. It was such a fun wedding and the sun shone all day long!

The ceremony

The ceremony was a beautiful service in a gorgeous room. During the ceremony there was nearly constant laughter. It was so much fun.

They decorated the area with flowers, which I loved. The reception was in the orangery at The Faversham – I love this venue because it’s so cosy and relaxed. Weddings at The Faversham are amazing, because the building is completely stunning.

Why The Faversham is a great place to get married

The Faversham has a really vibrant atmosphere and is one of the coolest places to get married in Leeds. The venue offers onsite parking so guests don’t have to walk – and there are loads of amazing places that are perfect for photos.

The reception

The couple had a drinks reception in the afternoon and a live band in the evening. The speeches were absolutely amazing and ended with a limoncello shot and carefully explained party popper ‘Mexican wave’. For food, they had a slap-up meal of meat and salads and so much deliciousness. The first dance was to Tiny Dancer (which I now have stuck in my head!) and was a good old traditional wedding shuffle with some twirls thrown in. They finished off the evening with lots of dancing and more amazing food.

The couple

Fran wore a floor-length gown and Dave wore a stunning trouser suit and they looked really dapper.

The couple got in touch with me years ago, and their enquiry was so fun. They said they wanted a relaxed photographer, and I loved that they seemed so much fun. Their wedding was postponed an extra year due to covid but I’m sure they will agree it was worth the wait.

Advice for planning your wedding at The Faversham

This is just the most beautiful venue and just a stone’s throw from the city centre. It doesn’t have any accommodation but there is a brilliant old manor house nearby which is now serviced apartments. There are also several hotels in the city centre.
