Emma and Andy got married at The Barns, which is a barn in East Yorkshire with an onsite farm. It was a beautiful day and the sun shone all day long! This The Barns East Yorkshire Wedding was the perfect summer wedding day.

THE CEREMONY

The ceremony was a church service in their local church. During the ceremony, they had a beautiful reading. It was really beautiful.

They decorated the area with flowers, which I loved. The reception was in a barn at The Barns – I love this venue because you can totally personalise it. Weddings at The Barns are amazing because the grounds are completely stunning.

WHY THE BARNS IS A GREAT PLACE TO GET MARRIED

The Barns is really peaceful and secluded, and is one of the best places to get married in East Yorkshire. The venue offers onsite parking so guests don’t have to walk – and there are so many beautiful spots that are perfect for photos.

THE PARTY

The couple had drinks and canapes in the afternoon, and a pizza truck in the evening. For dinner they had meat platters, and the first dance was a good old traditional wedding shuffle. They finished off the evening with dancing into the night.

Emma wore a gorgeous champagne dress and Andy wore a stunning trouser suit and they looked really perfect. I should note here that it was such a hot day and Emma was very much looking forward to getting into something cooler.

The couple got in touch with me last minute, and their enquiry really lovely. They said they had seen some photos I did for a friend of there’s, and I loved that they just really wanted me there.
