I really enjoyed my first time photographing a wedding at Herd Farm. This little hidden gem of a venue is nestled in the Yorkshire countryside yet only a short drive from Leeds. I was lucky enough to photograph Alex’s sister’s wedding a few years ago and it was an abasolute delight to be back to document another family member’s wedding.
Alex and Catherine got ready seperately with their Best People before heading St Barnabas Church, Heaton for a lovely ceremony. This was quite a family affair with Alex’s Dad leading the service and his Granny marrying them. Other family members and were involved in readings, prayers, music and the sermon. All of this made it such a personal and unique ceremony.
The couple had a bell marquee at Herd Farm which was beautifully decorated in bright colours and lots of childhood and family photographs displayed. A really yummy curry was served for the meal and there were lots of heartwarming speaches before the dessert table opened.
Motif were amazing as always at getting the dancing going and there was so much energy!
