I loved photographing this Pavilion Hotel York wedding on a gorgeous May day.
Katie and Becca got married in May at the lovely Pavilion Hotel, which is an old hotel in York. It was such a fun wedding and the sun shone all day long!
Getting Ready at York’s Pavillion Hotel
Katie and Becca decided to both get ready at the Pavilion Hotel rather than at home however they had rooms at different sides of the hotel so they didn’t see each other. I photographed in both of their rooms so they got photographs of both of their mornings. I noticed straight away that they chosen incredibly similar dresses but of course they didn’t realise this until they were in the ceremony.
The Ceremony
The couples ceremony took place in The Pavilion Hotel’s Courtyard Suite, This is a beautiful room with wood panelling and large bay windows which overlook the gardens and allow lots of lovely natural light to flood into the room.
The Reception
Katie and Becca made the most of the beauitful gardens for their drinks reception and canapes and spent lots of time chilling out and chatting with their guests in the sunshine. I tok the couple off for some photographs together and we loved finding that some of their guests had brought their beautiful green camper along to the hotel.
The couple organised themed tables names ‘we go together like’ and each table was then named after a famous duo such as Mel and Sue and PB&J.
In the evening Katie, Becca and all their guests had a brilliant time dancing the night away as the DJ played tune after tune. It was such a great wedding to be part of.
