VILLA FARM YORK WEDDING

IF YOU’RE PLANNING A VILLA FARM YORK WEDDING YOU’LL LOVE THIS FOR INSPIRATION!

Kathryn and James chose the stunning Villa Farm in York as their wedding venue because it gave them the barn and outdoor style wedding they wanted, with onsite accommodation for all their friends and family. The fab thing about a Villa Farm York wedding is that there is so much onsite accommodation for all you’re guests to stay.

GETTING READY

James decided to get ready at home so he could be with their two beautiful dogs Nelly and Willow before they went to the dog sitter for the day. My second shooter Becki headed there to get some shots of James getting ready. I headed to Villa Farm where Kathryn was getting ready in one of the beautiful cottages. Her family were all there enjoying the sunshine and had a picnic before getting into their wedding attire. Guests in the cottage next door played cricket and it was so lovely and chilled out.

THE CEREMONY

Kathryn and James had a gorgeous outdoor ceremony in the grounds of Villa Farm. Kathryn and her bridesmaids walked down the long path to meet a very nervous James. It was a lovely ceremony and as they walked back down the aisle the couples were showered in confetti.

 THE RECEPTION

The afternoon was just as chilled as the morning, with beer and gin. garden games and two four-legged visitors. I particularly enjoyed taking photos as people launched balls at tin cans. It was an opportunity to get some really unusual photos. The speeches were great fun and they were dispersed between the meal. Each table had their own roast and one guest was given a chef’s hat, apron and calving knife to serve everyone. I thought this was a lovely way of making sure everyone ate at a really similar time.

THE EVENING

We headed for a little walk in the cornfields before the evening guests arrived. The first dance was brilliant, and a few moments later James and his friends surprised everyone with a fully choreographed routine to the Backstreet Boys.
