Scott and Emily booked me to capture their The Old Barn Eshholt wedding and what a gorgeous day it was! We had been checking the weather in the run up to the day and had plans in place for the possible rain, but in the end didn’t get any at all!
Emily and Scott chose to have a celebrant-led wedding and had the wonderful Lucy Taylor (Celebrant Number 1) to conduct their ceremony. I wanted to do a BIG shoutout to Lucy here who was just incredible and, I think it’s fair to say, more than a celebrant to these two. Their ceremony was personal, fun, and Lucy just made it flow perfectly.
After their ceremony, confetti and some group photographs, we headed with Liberty Campers to some local woodland to have a little breather and get some portraits. We were so lucky that there was a lovely patch of bluebells that made the perfect spot for some photographs.
After the (absolutely delicious) meal, there were 5 brilliant speeches. The speeches finished with an experiment to settle an old argument about the right way to open a drinks can! I’m not sure it was actually settled, but it was very funny all the same.
Emily and Scott wanted to head to a lake nearby, which is special to them. We headed there at golden hour for some more portraits. We avoided a near run-in with a swan and several puddles to get some pretty photographs.
The couple did a first shuffle and then we nipped outside to do a champagne spray before they headed back in to dance the night away.
Thank you so much for having me along, Emily and Scott!
