Left Bank Leeds Wedding

Oct 6, 2024

I felt so happy to document Riah and Kieron’s beautiful wedding celebration at Left Bank Leeds. I began the day by capturing Kieron as he welcomed their guests; the laughter started immediately and didn’t stop all day! Riah arrived shortly after on a vintage bus, looking absolutely stunning. Although she felt a little nervous, she spent a few quiet minutes with her mum and bridesmaids to settle her nerves before the ceremony began.

A Meaningful Ceremony and a Vintage Bus Ride

The ceremony felt incredibly special because this church holds sUCH personal meaning for the couple. After the “I dos,” Riah and Kieron hopped back onto the vintage bus with all their guests to travel to the reception. Photographing a moving bus full of excited wedding guests certainly provided a fun challenge, but the energy was infectious!

Arriving at Left Bank Leeds

A massive confetti throw greeted the couple as they arrived at Left Bank. Because they invited so many family and friends to celebrate, the confetti seemed to last forever! Left Bank Leeds is such a unique venue. It’s a Grade II* listed former church building turned events space. Its soaring ceilings and incredible stonework make it a dream for a wedding photographer.

A live singer performed during the drinks reception, and her voice ricocheted beautifully around the ancient building. I loved exploring the space to find creative angles and unique perspectives that highlighted the venue’s beautiful architecture.

Epic Speeches and Portraits at Kirkstall Abbey

The speeches were easily some of the best I have ever heard! (Be sure to play the video below to hear a snippet of the highlights!). After the meal, Riah, Kieron, and I headed a short distance away to the ruins of Kirkstall Abbey for their portraits. The historic arches provided a dramatic and romantic backdrop for some quiet moments together.

Dancing with The WarNing Tones

We returned to Left Bank just in time for a brilliant first dance. Their band, The Warming Tones, performed wonderfully and kept the dancefloor packed for the entire night.

Riah and Kieron, thank you so much for choosing me as your Left Bank Leeds wedding photographer. What an amazing day!
