King’s Croft Hotel Pontefract Wedding

IF YOU’RE PLANNING A KING’S CROFT HOTELPONTEFRACT WEDDING, YOU’LL LOVE THIS WEDDING FOR INSPIRATION!

Sarah and James got married at King’s Croft Hotel, which is a hotel in Pontefract with stunning grounds. It was a gorgeous day and even the rain didn’t dampen the day! This King’s Croft Hotel Pontefract wedding was a stunning spring wedding.

***At this point I need to share that I sadly did not take these photos. I was absolutely devasted when the day before this wedding I woke up feeling dreadful. It turns out that after two years I’d managed to catch covid again. I would like to do a big shout out here to my friends Jenna Kathleen and Nicola Mackrill for stepping in and shooting the wedding for me. As I’m sure you will agree they have done the most amazing job. I’d also like to thank Sarah and James for just being so amazingly gracious and lovely. I have LOVED editing these and it was obviously a fantastic day***

So here is the wedding!

THE VOWS

The ceremony was an intimate affair the Pavillion. During the ceremony, the couple merged two lots of sand to symbolise their marriage. It was really fun. They decorated the area with lots of colour, which I loved. The reception was in a beautiful room at King’s Croft Hotel – I love this venue because it has so many great opportunities for portraits. Weddings at King’s Croft Hotel are amazing because the grounds are so pretty.

WHY KING’S CROFT HOTEL IS A GREAT PLACE TO GET MARRIED

King’s Croft Hotel is really peaceful and secluded and is one of the nicest places to get married in Pontefract. The venue offers an onsite hotel so guests don’t have to travel home – and there so many incredible backdrops that are perfect for photos.

THE AFTERNOON

The couple had a drinks reception in the afternoon, and music in the evening. For dinner they had a slap up meal, and the first dance was a good old traditional wedding shuffle. They finished off the evening with lots of dancing.

THE COUPLE

Sarah wore a lacy dress and James wore a navy suit and they looked really dapper.

The couple got in touch with me years ago, and their enquiry was so fun. They said they wanted a relaxed photographer, and I loved that they seemed so much fun.
