Holmes Mill Clitheroe Wedding

May 8, 2018

If you’re planning a Holmes Mill Clitheroe Wedding, you’ll love this for inspiration!

Claire and Richard got married at the gorgeous The Chapel at Broughton Hall, Skipton, in May. Their reception was at the beautiful Holmes Mill in Clitheroe. It was a stunning summery wedding, with wildflowers on the tables and so many beautiful details everywhere. I’m sure you’ll love looking through this Holmes Mill Clitheroe Wedding.

Getting Ready

Claire got ready at The Spinning Top Hotel which is next to Holmes Mill. She got ready with her bridesmaids, and there was such a calm vibe. The suite they got ready in was only finished the night before, so they were the first people to ever use it. She wore a gorgeous Ronald Joyce dress with beaded detail and looked really incredible. She travelled to the ceremony in an orange camper van with her parents. Richard got ready at home with his best man and some of his groomsmen. He wore a tweed suit from ASOS with a bowtie.

 The Ceremony

The ceremony took place at the beautiful chapel at Broughton Hall. The church was beautiful and was set in the most perfect surroundings. The ceremony began with a beautiful reading and finished with them walking out to everyone throwing confetti. It was a beautiful ceremony, full of so much love and lots of cheer. After the ceremony, the couple mingled with their guests, which was the perfect time for us to get some candid photos. Then we took some time out for portraits, which is such a great time for the newly married couple to have some time to let it sink in. I got some stunning couples photos in the greenhouse which the owner at Broughton Hall kindly let us use.  The weather was glorious, it was a beautiful day.

 The Reception

For the reception we headed to Holmes Mill, Clitheroe where the couple had organised cocktails and a beer barrow for their guests, and everyone had so much fun. The wedding breakfast was a yummy roast dinner. They had speeches after the meal, which were really funny – Claire did a speech too and especially thanked Pinterest, Etsy and Amazon for making her wedding possible!

 The Evening

After the speeches, the guests enjoyed the magic mirror photobooth and a casino. The dancefloor was also a very popular place to be. The live band played all the best songs to get everyone dancing. Richard particularly loves Motown and I shall always remember watching the two of them dancing to ‘Ain’t No Mountain High Enough’. The evening ended with sparklers, which was such a wonderful idea. The whole wedding was everything I love about weddings, from the epic cake to the awesome live band. One of the best moments of the wedding was the dancing because the guests really knew how to party.

I loved this Holmes Mill wedding so much. If you’re planning a Holmes Mill Clitheroe Wedding I’d love to hear from you!
