IF YOU’RE PLANNING A BEAUMONT PARK HUDDERSFIELD ENGAGEMENT SHOOT, YOU’LL LOVE THIS FOR INSPIRATION.
I met Sarah and Paul on a late July evening in Beaumont Park. Huddersfield for their engagement shoot. It’s not long now until their wedding and we enjoyed chatting about their plans whilst walking through this stunning park. The couple have planned the ultimate DIY wedding in Huddersfield and have hired out Byram Aracade – a victorian shopping parade right in the Town Centre. The wedding is on a Sunday when the shops there are closed anyway, and the cafe that is based there are doing their catering. It sounds amazing!
Sarah had sourced a dress the exact same colour as the red on the bandstand. I LOVE this colour and also LOVE how much it made the photos pop – they look so good I just couldn’t not share them! There are similar colours at their wedding venue and I honestly cannot wait for their wedding day to come!
We started our Beaumont Park Huddersfield engagement shoot in the bandstand and then walked along the main path of the park. I tried out lots of my simple posing techniques with them – which really only involve a teeny bit of direction and a few silly games. It’s just about finding ways that you feel comfortable when standing close together (probably closer than you would normally stand!). We ended our shoot with a few photos in front of the railway bridge. The park is particularly special to them because Paul’s relative once lived in the park’s lodges and worked in the park, so it was wonderful to capture some memories for them here. They were an absolute joy to spend a summer evening with and I’m so glad they like the photographs as much as I do.
Upade: See their beautiful wedding here.
