A Bridge Community Church Wedding

Sep 1, 2023

This is a very special wedding to share. It’s always an honour to be asked to photograph a wedding, but even more so when it’s for a friend. The groom, Derek, is a friend of mine and my husband’s from when we lived in Bradford. Derek used to volunteer with us on the youth summer camp we ran and is such fun to be around.

Derek met June a few years ago through mutual friends and it’s been so lovely to see him so happy. I was delighted when they asked me to photograph their day.

They got married at June’s church, Bridge Community Church in Leeds. We then headed to Woodhouse Moor park for some portraits before heading to Leeds West Indian Centre for the reception. A big shout out here to Distinguished Events who did such a beautiful job of venue styling and the brilliant Petals and Stitches florist.

It was such a joy to be part of Derek and June’s day.
