I really enjoyed photographing this beautiful wedding at Wood Hall Hotel. Georgia works with Tom, whose wedding I had photographed last year. He had very kindly recommended me, and having met up with Georgia I felt we had a really similar vision for wedding photography.
GETTING READY
Georgia got ready at a family friend’s house whilst James opted to get ready at his parent’s house. It was a gorgeous summer’s day, so both had the doors open and enjoyed time outside whilst relaxing before the ceremony. Georgia had lots of bridesmaids around her and there was plenty of laughter and it was an absolute joy to photograph.
THE CEREMONY
Georgia and James were married at Adel Church in Leeds. It is such a beautiful church with a long walk up to the front doors from the road. The ceremony was very emotional! There were so many tears! Especially from Georgia. They welcomed all their guests as they left the church and then had confetti thrown at them at the church gates. They travelled to the venue in Georgia’s dad’s Morris Minor.
THE RECEPTION & EVENING
There was plenty of time for chilling and relaxing before the sit-down meal. The guests enjoyed drinks and laughter at the front of the house in the sunshine. On a beautiful day, this really is the most magical venue. There were lots of children at this wedding and it was lovely to see them playing on the tree swing and watching the cows. A lot of James’ family came from Ireland and rarely see each other, so it was especially lovely to see this family come together. There were lots of brilliant speeches, more drinking and then it was time for dancing. The dancefloor at this wedding was electric! The photos are some of my favourite dancefloor shots ever.
If you’re planning a Wetherby wedding, I’d love to hear from you!
