Jodie and Davyd knew they wanted to do their wedding in their own unique way. Their families are the most important thing to them so, when it came to wedding planning, they decided to find a big house where they could all stay together and have small, intimate celebration. They found the perfect house through Airbnb in Matlock, Derbyshire which had plenty of bedrooms for everyone and an enourmous living space perfect for a DIY wedding.
The couple planned a beautiful autumn themed wedding with lots of pinks, purples and oranges and they decorated with foraged ivy. Their friend Heather, who happens to be a super talented celebrant, did an amazing job with a really personal ceremony. There was lots of tears!
The house has beautiful tiered gardens where we managed to get some beautiful portraits before the couple and their guests enjoyed a stunning meal from Pastelle Kitchen and Events and then after some speeches, headed outsideto enjoy sparklers and fireworks. It really was such a beautiful DIY wedding with an incredible atmosphere of love and family.
