If you’re planning a Langsett Reservoir engagement shoot, you’ll love this for inspo!
I met Emma and Rowan at the beautiful Langsett reservoir for a shoot before their big day. They are due to get married at the Alma Inn Laneshawbridge in a few weeks time. they chose this venue as it is a special place to both of them in the most beautiful surroundings. As they live in Penistone, they decided to head somewhere more local than their wedding venue for this shoot. We chose a gorgeous summer evening to meet and met at golden hour to make the most of the stunning light.
Not only were they dressed perfectly for the landscape in orange and green, but they had also planned the best place to meet and walk to for some gorgeous scenery. Emma sent me a detailed map with a meeting point which was brilliant and also shows her amazing organisation skills. We started by shooting with the reservoir in the background and moved on to chasing the sunset over several fields and walls. It was lots of fun! I think Emma will agree that she earned her fish and chips that night. I loved being back near where I grew up in Sheffield – it really is a stunning place!
Engagement shoots are the perfect opportunity to see how it feels to be in front of the camera and get some stunning photographs at the same time. My engagement shoots are very chilled – lots of walking, laughing and playing games and not much staring into each other’s eyes!
