There is something about a Holmes Mill wedding that just hits different, especially when the couple is as fun and laid back as Georgina and Ben. Their day was a complete blast from start to finish and it was so refreshing to see a celebration that felt so personal to them.
I spent some time with Georgina and her friends chilling at the Spinning Block Hotel before the ceremony started. Georgina looked incredible and she was so keen to find a dress that showed off her tattoos which I absolutely loved. A highlight for me was seeing Georgina’s face when she told her friends she was determined to crowd surf on the dance floor later that night.
They held their legal ceremony in the Cotton Room which is such a stunning spot for a Clitheroe wedding. They decided to swap confetti for bubbles which looked so cute as they walked through them a few times. The drinks reception was super relaxed and we managed to sneak in a few photos while everyone was enjoying themselves. Ben was a little nervous in front of the camera but we had such a laugh about it. I am glad I did not have to resort to Georgina’s suggestion of hiding in the bushes to get those natural photos of him. I just did my usual of talking nonsense to put people at ease and getting the couple to insult each other and it worked perfectly.
The couple made the best entrance to their reception carrying WWE belts which was just iconic. After the wedding breakfast the guests headed over for a game of bowling. I love that this is an option for wedding photography at Holmes Mill because it makes for such fun and unique photos. Georgina and Ben had even practiced a dance routine which was brilliant and Georgina finally got her wish to crowd surf.
